Arpad Lehner

Jewish pianist living in Vollen i Asker who had come to Norway after World War I. He was married to a non-Jewish Norwegian and became a well known piano teacher in Oslo (with Robert Levin amongst his pupils). He was arrested on 30th October 1942, sent to Bredtveit prison and imprisoned in Berg prison on 10th December 1942. He was released on 21st January 1943. He was arrested again on 20th April 1943 and sent to Bredtveit prison. He was sent further to KZ Grini (#7552) on 8th May 1943 and sent to Berg prison on 16th February 1944. He was released on liberation day with a lasting permanent handicap due to frozen fingers.
