Being born in Germany she studied piano with Leonid Kreutzer, Robert Riefling and Gottfried Boon. She started a career as a performer with concerts in the Nordic countries, England and Germany and hosted clandestine gatherings during the years of the German occupation. After 1944 she lived in Sweden.
