He studied medicine and law (1935-41) first, before he began to study singing with Oscar Serenus (1940-46), theory at Riefling’s piano institute and with Olav Gurvin. After WWII he persued a career with repertoire from popular operas and operettas in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.
