He was arrested on 6th March 1942 and sent to Polizeigefängnis Møllergata 19 in Oslo. On 28th March 1942 he was sent to KZ Grini (#2325) and deported to KZ Sachsenhausen (#61041) on 20th February 1943. There he joined the camp band (“Musikkapelle”) and the Swing-Trio. He was released on liberation day.
