Conductor and publisher. He received his education in Berlin (1897-1903) and was conductor in Oslo for the Handelsstandens Orkester (1900-04), the Tivoli Orchestra (1906-07) and the orchestra at Centralteatret; he also composed and became the director of Norsk Musikforlag (1935-43).
